Disabled Children Education Trust (DCET) was established in 1991 to help disabled people to settle in life through Management and IT education. The trust helped establishment of IISE IT & Business School under IISE society over a sprawling eleven bighas of land, International Institute of Special Education, Lucknow was one of the only first six accredited B. Schools in India in 2001 where there were 738 B.Schools in India which were only approved and not accredited. DBS was both approved and accredited by AICTE's National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is a Ph.D Institute also.

In 2006, DCET decided to establish a business school (DCET Business School) to offer MBA degree affiliated to U. P . Technical University, Lucknow. The DCET Business School (DBS) has started functioning since September 1, 2007. The sanctioned intake is 60 (sixty). All the required infrastructure as per norms, in fact more than the norms, has been created. The infrastructure available with DCET has also been made available to the students of DBS DCET management has an experience of more than twelve years of running Post Graduate and Undergraduate programmes in Management and IT and Mass Communication. There is a strong network with industries and academic institutions. This will be available to the DBS students as well.
